10 Best Looks from Resort 2011

When Milan Men Fashion Week S/S 2011 is all happening, that means is time to review the resort line 2011.

1st- Erdem
Started to really keep an eye on Erdem Moralioglu's design, especially this one. The lace details with lingerie looking short (hitting the trend again ), but the amazing thing that catches my eye is the combination of short with slightly longer laced jacket ( just slightly not too long ). It makes the whole look stand out.
The rest of his collection is very very cool as well.
Have a look at Erdem Resort 2011

2nd- Yves Saint Laurent
Mr. Pilati took us to the time machine and back to 40s-50s France. With the pattern and the headpiece, it's a retro chic look - love it.

3rd - Lanvin
Never really would expect Alber Elbaz would design strong woman look - but it is a surprise that he can create both soft romance and strong woman look. And this look is very classic

4th - Phillip Lim 3.1
Simple black mini dress with a causal cardigan and the hair. So simple but fashion.

5th - Lanvin
Back to Elbaz. This look is causal with twist, the long gown goes very good with simple white blouse. It's a Bermuda beach look.

6th - Celine
Applause the Phoebe. Every collection she involve - amazing, including this one. Modern black hippies look with gold accessories - love it.

7th - Jonathan Saunders
Love the pattern with black dress and her facial expression.

8th - Proenza Schouler
Cotton high-waisted short is the favourite- always. And the blouse looks good too.

9th - yigal azrouƫl
Incredible way to handle black and white. Romantic- slightly showing off the skin.

10th - Zero + Maria Cornejo
Structured Camel Jacket - very nice.

Chanel X Joyce Paris///Shanghai///The Odyssey

Funky Thom Browne outfit

and...... the killer shoes

Hong Kong Fashion Icon - Wyman Wong

Chinese Actress - Fan Bing Bing

Ms Coco Chanel never visited China, but she always had a thing for Chinese antique, pattern as well as the culture. With Karl Lagerfeld’s help, Chanel X Shanghai collection has now satisfied Ms Chanel's dream.

We have seen the very Chinese fashion show in Shanghai early this year, now they arrived to Hong Kong not only stay in Chanel Stores but also Joyce Boutique in Central. The launch party showed us some of the amazing looks created by Karl Lagerfeld. Every single piece, every details is beyond fashion. The sequinned hair pin, the gloves and the fur - absolutely breath-taken. It's like Chinese spirit in French Haute Couture.

Aside from amazing fashion pieces, many and many stylish fashionistas showed up to the event, everyone has their own little trick to stand out from the crowd.

Can men carry Pink?

photos from menstyle.com

Shirt in Pink. It seems like a feminine fashion item, and it might not necessarily be the ideal color for men and a lot of them have been advised "Do Not Wear Pink". But, as a man, I always wonder when they see an absolutely perfect pink shirt, would they try it on? Yes - I think they will, including myself. Having to try on a light pink shirt that I have never wore but always be hidden in my wardrobe, suddenly I have a strong feelings on "you" again. It looks perfect, sharp and cool on me.

Are there any colors that men should not try? A stylish person once told me,“Stylish sexy people can wear anything, it's all about who and how you carry it."

Style in Art

Happened to see some well-dressers in a gallery another evening. Very much in love with the girl in high-waisted skirt with floral patterned top and her shoes - perfect combination.

Kanchan Couture (love the chiffon gown with t-shirt)

Designed by HK local designers : Seth Yeung, Kathy Chan and Stephen Fan

Made from hair clips actually

butterflies on walls and clothes

Was invited to a Fashion Night at Hong Kong Art Fair the other day. There are so many things to see, not just art but fashion too. Very much enjoy the fashion show. The clothes from Kanchan Couture are totally wearable but with a fashion twist. And the local designers showed us some of the amazing pieces, I saw some Viktor & Rolf kind of creativity and some designers with very unique perspective on fashion. Wish they will be the next big designer.

Countless galleries with countless artworks from every kind of art. Some were just very beautiful to look at, some gave you a whole new experience. It was not just an exhibition, it was like a playground for art lovers - and most of them were very dressy. I couldn't stop looking at them, when they embodied their funky outfits and spirit.

A girl with simple chic style

A sexy girl in a bold outfit - nice

Me & The Artist - Simon Birch

Art can be so FUN! Attending the Hope and Glory closing party is the proof. The artist - Simon Birch creates a incredibly unusual environment for the audience to experience the contemporary art. You can sit, listen, interact with the pieces yourself in order to gain an unique experience with it.

The exhibition is staged like a carnival thoughfully- so true that art is the some of the "fun" in our life.
