A taste to be a part of a photo shoot

Happened to take part in a fashion photo shoot yesterday. I ,literally, know what is it like to have a massive fashion photo shooting. It's not easy, the whole crew have to deal with the hot weather, the sunlight and all the other elements that would make or break the whole shoot. But it's all worth it once the shots were magically created.

Seth Hutchinson, the talented New York photographer, was the magic hand this time. With his creativity and professional skill. I think this shoot would turn out to be fantastic and hope it would be published very soon.

Attended UNiART Fashion Gala 2010 the other day, I was surprised to see a lot of young fashion talent and their collection. Although they still need a lot of work on their skill and creativity, It is grateful to see their passion for the fashion industry. I already saw some edgy Balmain kinda design and many other lovable designs. So, High hope for them. Wish there will be the next Balmain coming out from Hong Kong.

"Belt on waist" I predict I would see that a lot this fall and winter. Simply because it is a perfect solution to find your waist again and create a little bit of curve. What's more, it allows you to put on as many layers as you want, and a belt, somehow, magically turns everything to be right again and a perfect help to lose some of the heaviness that winter clothes always come with.

I saw more interesting fashion in London than Paris, seriously! Paris is always the centre of high end couture fashion that WOW the world, but once you walk down the streets, you will undoubtedly like London MORE. In London, everyone dresses up in their own style and not afraid to put on bold items which turn out to be something very special. And that's the reason I love London - surprises everywhere.

After American hit show "America's Next Top Model" accepted transsexual model, high-end fashion brand - Givenchy uses new hot transsexual Lea. T to be the face of the Fall/Winter campaign. And for the first time, she revealed her male/female body to the whole world on French Vogue.

To be honest, I don't care male or female models as long as they are good at it. And times to times, we see gender in Fashion becomes vaguer and vaguer. So, gender might be just another label like Gucci or Versace, as long as is good design, who cares?

Spotted the most colorful sandals during my trip. It even highlighted by the red toe nails.

Fashion Twilight

I got to say, the first thing comes to my mind when I see this image is "Twilight." I guess when the 3rd movie is hitting cinemas right now, everyone wants to be the bloody sexy vampire. Same here with Abbey Lee Kershaw, her pale skin, crystal blue eyes and slightly opened mouth - she is going to suck your fashion blood.

Love this shot so much. Not only because Madonna is in there, but largely because it is like a warm Italian family photo. Everyone dresses up to have a photographer taken, and in every shot, there is always someone who blink or look at the other way. That makes the shooting even more fun and enjoyable. When was the last time you have a family photo taken? I bet it is years ago.

BTW, love the Grandma facial expression and her outfit so much.

A+ definitely A+! Sarah first collection for Alexander McQueen really took the spirit of McQueen. Digital print, detailed laced structured dresses. Everything is so McQueen and somehow I can still see Sarah's clear, simple style such as the high-waisted trousers and the white blouse with a little train behind - gorgeous .

I do not worry about Alexander McQueen show anymore. Sarah can absolutely handle the title as creative director. Pretty much looking forward to her second term exam result.

Do It Yourself

Having the idea to do DIY stuff for months, finally i got time to finish it. Actually I finished these two T-shirts last month but then I thought it would be nice to shoot them while I am in Europe, so I did. And got some attention while shooting it.

Doing DIY stuff is harder than I thought. You really need to plan everything, from where should the accessories placed to how should I sew two things together. Despite from that, you also need to be extremely careful as "there is no second chance or it causes you a lot of trouble to do it again". But it is worthy to have a DIY project once in a while - it gives you a feeling like you are a big fashion designer :)
